Title: Robin Williams Design Workshop Publisher: Peachpit Press Authors: Robin Williams, John Tollett Rating: 4/5 I have really enjoyed this book. Being a designer, I sometimes need ideas to help get me going, and this book provides it in spades. I really like the way that the author took some ideas from concept, through to completion. It really provides a great insight into the designer's mind. I wholeheartly recommend this book!

Title: Suze Orman's Will And Trust Kit: The Ultimate Protection Portfolio Publisher: Hay House Authors: Suze Orman Rating: 1/5 Suze Orman preaches debt-free, and owning your home outright; however, I think this is a strategy to stay in the middle class. She misses the crucial component of leverage. She misses the golden opportunity that is available when you leverage home equity (either owner or non-owner occupied) to build personal wealth. She discourages universal life policies because she considers them a waste of money, but forgets that many universal life policies have, over the last 50 years, not only beat inflation, but also returned higher rates than the average 30 year loan (even though I would assume she would advocate the 30 year fixed loan -- a horrible long-term strategy). She pushes outdated concepts that may keep peoples' heads above water, but will bring them to the inevitable solution that we refer to as middle (or perhaps upper-middle) class.

Title: Network+ Training Guide Publisher: Que Authors: Mike Harwood, Drew Bird Rating: 5/5 Thanks to Drew Bird and Mike Harwood to provide us with such a fantastic Network+ Exam preparation. When you read this book, you will realize that they really know what they're talking about. This book is not only usful for the Network+ Exam, but also for the real job work. With very informative "In the Field" sections they tell us what's really going on out there. So i think that every network technician/administrator should have this book. The different Networking technologies are discussed in a easy and very understandable way (in contrast to other Network+ books). The learning process is well balanced. I highly recommend you to use this book as your primary Network+ Exam Training Kit. Also the topics in this book are exactly what you need to pass the Network+ Exam. This book is really outstanding!

Title: XML Bible (2nd Edition) Publisher: Wiley Authors: Elliotte Rusty Harold Rating: 5/5 This is one of the best books on XML, infact THE best, that I have seen so far. Though this book does not cover programming with XML, it does a great job at explaining XML documents, DTDs, CSS and XSL. I am not the kind of guy who can read a technical book from cover to cover, but this book was a cool exception. ERH is a great author and reading through his book was like reading through a novel. There were lots of examples and they were very illustrative. After reading this book, you may not become an expert in using XML parsers with Java or Perl, but you definitely can write your own XML documents, DTDs, Cascading style sheets and XSL. If you are new to XML, this could be a very good first book to read. If you are a baseball fan, you will enjoy the book more because ERH goes about developing an XML document for baseball leagues throughout the course of the book. The examples start out easy and gradually blow up in size. Each concept is clearly explained before it is used and there were very less forward references anywhere. I hope ERH writes another book for Java/XML programmers. He is one author who consistently delivers great stuff.
