Title: Digital Integrated Circuits (2nd Edition) Publisher: Prentice Hall Authors: Jan M. Rabaey, Anantha Chandrakasan, Borivoje Nikolic Rating: 5/5 You are wrong if you think this book is out-of-date.It contains all the information needed to get for a undergrad. Of course, it doesn't cover all the concepts, technology in digital circuit design. But you getenough material to study for class (one or two semesters). Most schools still use this book as textbook now.Nice textbook to buy!

Title: ASP.NET Unleashed, Second Edition Publisher: Sams Authors: Stephen Walther Rating: 3/5 I received a preview copy of this book for free. And I am now going to order the finished copy because I think it is such an excellent book. Very well layed out, covering a broad number of .net topics. Examples are all well written and easily understood. This is definitely an excellent beginning book, as well as a good reference book for looking up code snippets on how to implement specific features of .net

Title: Discovering Statistics Using SPSS for Windows : Advanced Techniques for Beginners (Introducing Statistical Methods series) Publisher: SAGE Publications Authors: Andy Field Rating: 5/5 Dr. Field, Has written a book that should be an example to all others writing about: 1. SPSS and 2. Research methods. As a grad student I have been trying to put together all the stats classes that I have taken and the SPSS class I took and make sense out of it. This book was the final key that brought it all together. Based on logic ... its funny that the science of statistics should be so without logic as far as teaching goes. Again, this book is the way that books on stats and SPSS should be written. My only problems: 1. That while there is a lot covered, I wish that he would go through all (or almost all) of the statistical applications available in SPSS and 2. I would've liked to see a "refresher" on the commands to complete the statistical process talked about, at the end of the chapter. In summary, this book is the only book that I would recommend to those in need of help regarding SPSS and statistics. I can't wait for his new book, co-authored by Dr. Hole.
