Title: The Official eBay Bible Publisher: Gotham Authors: Jim "Griff" Griffith Rating: 3/5 The book is very basic, along the lines of the Dummies series. There is a screenshot of everything, which makes the book long. If you are just starting out, the book is good because it is comprehensive. However, there is a high percentage of garbage in the book, such as detailed instructions on how to bookmark a page in a Web browser, and a couple chapters on how to write HTML. The book is mainly a how-to book, not a book with many advanced selling and buying tips. After reading the top eBay books, below are my recommendations: ---Beginner with eBay and computers--- 1. The Official eBay Bible ---eBay Seller--- 1. Sell it on eBay 2. eBay Hacks ---Full-Time eBay Business (not for the casual seller)--- 1. eBay Strategies 2. eBay Business the Smart Way

Title: The User Manual Manual : How to Research, Write, Test, Edit & Produce a Software Manual Publisher: UnTechnical Press Authors: Michael Bremer Rating: 5/5 I got this book last year just before I was called for an interview for the position I hold as Senior Technical Writer for a small software firm. I read it twice through, and paid close attention to the examples. With the help of what I learned I got the job, and have been successfully writing all our documentation since. With the help of this book I was able to capitalize on my writing skills and education, and make the transition smoothly into technical writing. It gave me a step-by-step guide with examples to planning and creating the type of publications I would be expected to produce, and outlined all the processes thoroughly. I have reccommended this book to several of my colleagues.
