Thank goodness for this book

I really needed this for my dissertation. As a computer scientist who is using statistically-based data mining techniques in my PhD dissertation, I needed a good "Quick Course" in factor analysis. More important than just "what is factor analysis", I needed to know how to implement my ideas in SAS. This book did the trick. Now let's hope my advisors think so. :)

Great Book / Lacking in Dos/Windows

This is a great book to study for the exam. Written in easily to remember english which is a rarity in computer certification books. I got 85-Core/90-DosWin, but I feel I would have got a lot lower on the DosWin section if not for my previous experience.
So plain and simple:
To pass Core - great
To pass DosWin - barely

Definitely worth the cost!

The publication of this textbook was a major step forward, not only for the teaching of AI, but for the unified view of the field that this book introduces. Even for experts in the field, there are important insights in almost every chapter. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have an introductory overview of the state of AI. And I recommend it to experts in the field, who will enjoy its unified description of the field. I especially enjoyed the introductory chapter and the chapter on philosophical issues. I have taught from this book three times now, and it has improved my AI class hugely.

Ahhh... Perfection at last....

This is simply the best C reference in existance. Both the index and the contents are perfectly useful and expertly implemented. Whenever I'm coding this book lives on my desk. To top it all off it is printed on very high quality thin paper - it's thin size belies the tresure trove of information within. Everything you'd want to know is not only contained in its pages but most importantly can be found quickly. Concise, accurate, readable. The perfect resource.
