Title: Python Essential Reference (2nd Edition)
Publisher: Sams
Authors: David Beazley
Rating: 5/5
Customer opinion - 5 stars out of 5
Must Have

This is a must have book whether you are an experienced programmer or a novice. For the experienced, it is the essential reference and all you need to begin programming Python immediately. For the novice programmer, it will be the essential reference in addition to one of the "learning" or "how to" books.
I started with "Learning Python" but put it down half-way through after picking this book up. It's well-organized, a great size and layout, and easy to read. It has the essential information.
One more comment: I'm very impressed with this series of books from New Riders. It seems to me that someone there must have decided to take O'Reilly's idea and go one step farther. These books (I've used 2 others) are not only well-written, but the type, size of text, paper and covers are all of higher quality and style than the O'Reilly books. They are my new favorites. Looks like O'Reilly has competition!

Title: Implementing SAP Sales and Distribution
Publisher: McGraw-Hill Osborne Media
Authors: Glynn C. Williams
Rating: 4/5
Customer opinion - 4 stars out of 5
Good content and easy to understand

This book is a good start for someone who wants to use SAP-SD module.
It is good for implementing SD, but lacks issues relating to specific issues (like warehousing, bar coding interfaces).
Otherwise it is a good reference book for both consultants and end-users alike.

Title: OpenGL(R) Programming Guide: The Official Guide to Learning OpenGL, Version 1.2 (3rd Edition)

Fantastic

This is the best place to start learning about OpenGL and it has enough depth and scope to keep you refering to it at an advanced level. I am pleased that each edition gets better. Not only by adding the new features of the latest release of OpenGL but also revising the older chapters to improve their clarity. You really can't go that wrong with this book but be aware that there are some vector and matrix calculations here that assume you have prior knowledge of why it works. Overall a good balance of theory, code samples and math. Also, if you are using an earlier version of OpenGL (1.0 or 1.1) can still use this book, just make sure you watch out for the comments as to which features are available in which version.
