Title: Red Hat Linux Bible: Fedora and Enterprise Edition Publisher: Wiley Authors: Christopher Negus Rating: 4/5 If you are experienced in UNIX-like OS, this is a good review. If you are not, this book provides pointers, but you are going to need to work hard to find out the rest. I get a discounted price (US$6.99) on the book, so I feel I am getting a good deal.

Title: The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding Publisher: HarperBusiness Authors: Al Ries, Laura Ries Rating: 1/5 Just the thought that there could be a set number of "laws", or that those laws are "immutable" is pathetic. The husband and wife team does a wonderful job of making it sound like they have discovered these fundamental truths about branding and the Internet. Any in-depth examination of these over simplified and sometimes-bizarre rules leave you only with an empty sense of their cleverness and no clearer idea on how to approach the challenges of branding. If you thought that you knew nothing about branding, and want some reassurance that there are people out there writing books who know even less, than definitely buy this book. Especially if you want help to try and take advantage of the clueless nature of many naive dot-coms who are susceptible to such mumbo jumbo.

Title: Sams Teach Yourself SQL in 10 Minutes, Third Edition Publisher: Sams Authors: Ben Forta Rating: 5/5 This is an excellent resource for those looking to learn SQL fast. This book covers all of the *important* aspects of this language without clouding the information with tons of examples that really only sometimes are just for the authors ego. If you need to learn SQL fast this truly is the book for you. I still use it at my desk as a handy reference tool (along with some other books!). Buy this book if you need to learn SQL fast or are just curious about the subject. The price of the book is well worth the information the book contains.

Title: ASP.NET Unleashed, Second Edition Publisher: Sams Authors: Stephen Walther Rating: 1/5 if you think ASP.NET is merely a newer ASP and you're happy enough to mingle your display with your businses layer code and you don't know and object from a hole in the ground and LIKE IT THAT WAY, then this book will be wonderful for you. If you came from a Windows developer backyard and are familiar with forms, etc, and you're hoping that this will teach you WinForms, then you'll be entirely let down. Get Essential ASP.NET instead, it'll be a good start.
