Title: Official Final Fantasy VII Strategy Guide Publisher: Bradygames Authors: David Cassady Rating: 3/5 When wanting to play Final Fantasy VII to it's full potential, this guide is extremely helpful, but I have also noticed the fact that there is a very high amount of misprints. For example, say that you wanted to look in the bestiary for information on a specific monster in the game. There is a fairly good amount of correct information in the bestiary, but there is also a very good chance that the information you are looking for is either: 1. Not in the book 2. Incorrect. I have made it completely through the game with this book, but at a lot of times I was left "alone in the dark". If there is another choice for a strategy guide for Final Fantasy VII, I suggest that the consumer buy that one.

Title: Murach's Beginning Visual Basic .NET Publisher: Mike Murach & Associates Authors: Anne Prince Rating: 4/5 This book is a MUST HAVE for your VB.NET collection. Its coverage of database programming is unmatched. It presents code that can be modified to fit any application you may be developing and it does it in a very simple understandable way. I have read many of ADO.NET books but this one is the first to make it understandable. I have found time saving code in this book that I haven't found in any other books. GREAT DATABASE BOOK The only complaint would be the format used. A lot of run together sentences that tend to bury the subjects. But if you don't mind reading it twice it all works.

Title: JavaScript for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide (4th Edition) Publisher: Peachpit Press Authors: Tom Negrino, Dori Smith Rating: 5/5 I have purchased this book and found it well worth its price. It contains a wealth of information that enabled me to incorporate javascript into my projects "on the fly" in one day. My previous experience utilizing javascript before buying this book: none. The examples are clearly written and easy to understand. I rate it 5 stars because I found it that helpful. This book, along with subsequent editions to it, will always have a place in my reference library.

Title: Beginning ASP Databases Publisher: Wrox Press Authors: John Kauffman, Kevin Spencer, Thearon Willis, John Kauffman Rating: 5/5 Finally, someone who includes all the detail on how to set up your system so you can go through the sample code. How many times have you bought a book, only to spend a whole lot of time in getting the appropriate system settings before even writing a line of code. In this book the author takes you step by step and gives you a number of reason why something might not work. It's hard enough to learn a new language without the frustation of being unable to run the sample code. This is not to say the rest of the book was not very well done. Actually the books a twofer, giving you both experience in ASP and ADO. I wish all books were written in this fashion.
