Title: Adobe GoLive 6.0 Classroom in a Book (With CD-ROM) Publisher: Adobe Press Authors: Adobe Creative Team Rating: 5/5 Some items in the book may seem very basic but necessary if you want to learn GoLive the right way. For instance when linking - it really is a point and shoot system. I guess once you get the hang of it as the way the book describes the step by step procedure - you'll find similar attributes in MSVisio. This book may seem simple but necessary in its step by step procedure. Each chapter enumerates on each part of the creation of a professional html web page. I recommend this book if you want to learn how to use GoLive the right way, which will in-turn advance you to be more creative with your ideas.

Title: Practical Unix & Internet Security, 3rd Edition Publisher: O'Reilly Authors: Simson Garfinkel, Gene Spafford, Alan Schwartz Rating: 1/5 This book is seriously outdated, and even when it wasn't it was useless. Don't be fooled by the five star reviews; they are most likely written by people who are a.) friends of spaf or b.) have no clue about computer security. Eugene Spafford likes to talk, but he has little skill. He would rather waste his time preaching his opinions on vulnerability disclosure than take the time to get a clue. Don't get this book unless you are looking for a few laughs. I could write one paragraph on unix security, and if you took my advice you would be much more secure than if you read this whole useless book. What gives Spafford the right to write a book on this subject anyway? He himself was hacked by known vulnerabilities several times, and that has been documented in the book "Underground". Looking at all the five star reviews for this book makes me realize why most networks are insecure; because the people who run them read this (...) and think they are locked down. I could go on and on, but I'm not going to.

Title: Voice & Data Communications Handbook (Standards & Protocols) Publisher: McGraw-Hill Osborne Media Authors: Regis J. Bates, Donald W. Gregory Rating: 5/5 I have all editions (I, II, III) and now the fourth and it gets better all the time! Particularly the new added sections on WAP, remote access, 3G, optical and more. I like having the objectives for each chapters added and also the numerous quiz questions at the end of each chapter. Definitely another book from Bates!
